amiea med® Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment method for activating percutaneous collagen induction (PCI).
amiea med® has developed clinical microneedling for the effective improvement of the aesthetic appearance of acne scars.
Clinical microneedling treatment uses fine needles to create thousands of closely spaced microlesions in the dermis (leather skin). The resulting minimal bleeding activates the release of growth factors via the post-traumatic wound healing cascade, replacing the collagen structures in the scar area with a new subepidermal collagen network (PCI).
In contrast to ablative procedures (e.g. laser resurfacing or chemical peeling) - the upper layers of the skin are not injured over a wide area, but remain intact between the microlesions, so that no structural weakening of the skin occurs. As a result, the recovery phase of the skin after the treatment is very short.
